Ukrzaliznytsia may see profit in 2021 – ex-member of supervisory board
KYIV. Oct 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – JSC Ukrzaliznytsia may end 2021 with a small profit, ex-member of the supervisory board of the company Oleh Zhuravlev said during a broadcast on the Telegram channel of the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) on Tuesday.
"According to my latest data, to which I had access until September 19, if there are no changes in the economic situation, there will be no tight lockdown, there is a hope that the company will end this year with a profit. And I think that the imbalances in the first half of the year will be corrected in the second half of the year," he said.
Zhuravlev has been a member of the Ukrzaliznytsia’s supervisory board since December 2019 (a representative from the state). His term expired on September 21, 2021.
Earlier it was reported that in the first half of 2021, Ukrzaliznytsia saw UAH 1.4 billion in cumulative net losses.
At the end of 2020, Ukrzaliznytsia posted UAH 11.9 billion in net loss.
