Ukrtransnafta reduces oil transit by 7%, raises supplies to Ukrainian refineries by 10.7% in Jan-Aug

KYIV. Sept 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Oil transit through Ukraine by pipeline to European countries and Belarus in January-August 2021 decreased by 7% (by 602,000 tonnes) compared to the same period in 2020, to 8.028 million tonnes, according to the data of JSC Ukrtransnafta.

According to the calculations of the Interfax-Ukraine agency, in particular, transit in the direction of Budkovce (Slovakia) amounted to 5.546 million tonnes (0.9% more from January-August 2020), Fenyeslitke (Hungary) – 2.032 million tonnes (less by 22.1%), Mozyr (Belarus) – 450,200 tonnes (14.2% less).

The volume of oil transportation to refineries of Ukraine for the eight months of 2021 amounted to 1,891 million tonnes, which is 10.7% (183,300 tonnes) more than in the same period last year. In particular oil transportation along the Odesa-Kremenchuk route amounted to 965,600 tonnes (more by 29.2%).

Thus, in January-August 2021, the total transportation of oil through the company’s pipelines amounted to 9.918 million tonnes (less by 4%). The share of transit volume in it is 80.9%, pumping to the country’s refineries – 19.1%.

In August 2021, oil transit through Ukraine by pipeline decreased by 15.5% compared to the same month in 2020, to 1.066 million tonnes, including to Budkovce – 685,000 tonnes (14.8% less), Fenyeslitke – 290,000 tonnes (21.7% less), Mozyr – 90,600 tonnes (3.8% more).

Pumping to Ukrainian refineries last month increased by 54.9% (by 123,800 tonnes), up to 349,400 tonnes.
