Ukrtransnafta ready to restore operation of Samara-Western Direction oil product pipeline

KYIV. Sept 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – JSC Ukrtransnafta received all the necessary documents for the operation of the Ukrainian branch of the Samara-Western Direction oil product pipeline and confirmed its readiness to restore its operation.

As reported on the Ukrtransnafta website, on September 14 and September 15, the company received confirmation of the registration of the creation of customs control zones at the terminals in Smyha and Novohrad-Volynsky from the State Customs Service.

Ukrtransnafta fully confirms its readiness to provide services for the transportation of diesel fuel in transit and for the needs of internal customers and invites potential partners (fuel suppliers) to cooperate," the company said.

Ukrtransnafta previously signed an agreement with the A Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) to manage the Ukrainian part of the Samara-Western Direction oil product pipeline for a period of five years. According to the terms of the contract, Ukrtransnafta has the rights and obligations regarding the implementation of economic activities for the transportation, storage, transshipment of oil products to road and rail transport. The company also undertakes to provide at least UAH 1.1 million of the state’s monthly income from the management of the oil product pipeline within five years.
