Ukrtransbezpeka decides to restore license of Ukrzaliznytsia

KYIV. Jan 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The State Service of Ukraine for Transport Security (Ukrtransbezpeka) has decided to renew the license of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia for the transportation of passengers and dangerous goods.

It reported on its Facebook page that on January 12 the service received a statement from Ukrzaliznytsia with information about the elimination of the grounds that caused the suspension of the license, and a receipt for payment of a fine under the Code of Administrative Offenses.

“The information provided by Ukrzaliznytsia testifies to the elimination of a large number of inconsistencies in full. In the process of elimination are inconsistencies that have been ignored by the management of this company for a long time and the correction of which requires significant financial costs,” the report says.

The service also notes that Ukrtransbezpeka will monthly monitor the elimination of non-compliances, which will also be included in the list of issues for the subsequent scheduled inspection.

As reported, the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Security by order No. 1044 dated January 30, 2021 suspended the license of Ukrzaliznytsia for the transportation of passengers and dangerous goods.

Ukrzaliznytsia, commenting on this situation, then said that they did not plan to stop transportation, and the company would eliminate a number of comments in a clear timeframe.

At the same time, Ukrzaliznytsia noted that there have already been similar situations in the history of the company, and this will not affect transportation.
