Ukrgazvydobuvannia plans to increase drilling by 1.5 times in 2023 – company's head
KYIV. Feb 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – JSC Ukrgazvydobuvannia plans to increase drilling by 1.5 times in 2023 compared to last year, to 300,000 meters, Oleh Tolmachev, Acting General Director of the company, said.
"We plan to drill more than 300,000 meters of wells, which is 50% more than in 2022. We are doing everything possible to increase Ukrainian gas production," he said in the ICTV Fakty story.
In turn, Andriy Okhotnikov, director of the Shebelynkagazvydobuvannia gas production department, noted that in January of this year, gas production by the department is higher than in January 2022.
"Despite the hostilities, despite the fact that some of our facilities remain in the temporarily occupied territory, since the beginning of 2023 we have managed to increase gas production," he said.
As reported, head of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy Oleksiy Chernyshov said that the company aims to increase its own natural gas production by 1 billion cubic meters in 2023.
According to him, the company’s primary goal is to create sufficient gas reserves for the successful passage of the next heating season of 2023-2024.
