Ukrgasbank issues UAH 846 mln of mortgage loans since year start
KYIV. Oct 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – State-owned Ukrgasbank (Kyiv) has issued mortgage loans in the amount of UAH 846 million since the beginning of 2021, including UAH 744 million at a rate below 10% per annum, the bank’s press service reported.
According to the report, for the purchase of housing in the secondary market, the bank issued 795 loans in the amount of UAH 646 million, in the primary – 193 loans for UAH 200 million.
It is indicated that over eight months of this year, the bank received 5,770 applications for mortgages.
Since the start of the Affordable Mortgage 7% program in the country, Ukrgasbank has issued 164 loans for UAH 155 million, the press release says.
JSB Ukrgasbank was established in 1993. The state, represented by the Ministry of Finance, owns 94.9409% of the shares of the financial institution.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), as of June 1, 2021, Ukrgasbank ranks fourth in terms of total assets (UAH 133.5 billion) among 73 banks operating in the country.
