Ukrenergo awaiting next ENTSO-E permission to increase export capacity on Sept 2
KYIV. Aug 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – NPC Ukrenergo is awaiting the next ENTSO-E permission to expand export capacity on September 2, head of the operator Volodymyr Kudrytsky has said during a discussion organized by the Centre for Economic Strategy (CES) on Tuesday.
According to him, in August the company expects to earn about UAH 2 billion from the sale of the interstate cross-section for exporting electricity to Europe.
As reported, commercial export to Europe has been carried out since June 30 to Romania, and since July 7 it has been allowed to Slovakia – only 100 MW, 50 MW in each direction.
From July 30, ENTSO-E allowed an increase in the export of Ukrainian electricity to Europe by 2.5 times, to 250 MW.
The proceeds of NPC Ukrenergo from the sale of the interstate cross-section for the export of electricity to Romania and Slovakia amounted to UAH 1.92 billion from June 30 to August 21.
