KYIV. Jan 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – As of Monday evening, Ukrainians have already ordered more than 140,000 energy-saving lamps through the Diia application for exchange, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov says.
"Ukrainians have already ordered more than 140,000 energy-saving light bulbs for exchange through Diia," Fedorov wrote on Telegram.
As reported, from January 30, Ukrainians can exchange five old incandescent lamps for the same number of energy-saving LED lamps, the exchange program is an important step towards reducing the load on the Ukrainian energy system.
The new program is funded by the EU and is part of the European Union’s support for the Ukrainian "energy front." The European Union plans to provide Ukraine with 30 million LED lamps.
