Ukrainians buy more than 50,000 war bonds through Diia in Feb

KYIV. March 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Since the launch on October 3 last year of the possibility of buying war bonds in Diia application, Ukrainians have purchased over 400,000 such securities worth about UAH 400 million through it, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said on Facebook.

Taking into account the data he previously cited, over the past three weeks the volume of sales amounted to about 50,000 bonds, for the previous four – about 100,000 bonds.

Fedorov said that today, depositors will receive payment for the Kherson bond.

The Ministry of Finance said that it redeemed these UAH 27 billion worth of bonds issued for one year in March 2022 on the fifth day after the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation with a nominal rate of 11% per annum.

Earlier, the Deputy Prime Minister reported that in the first three weeks of government bonds sales through Diia, 70,000 securities were sold, and after another three weeks, by November 17, the volume of their sale reached 142,000, by January 12 it were 250,000 bonds.
