Ukrainian PM welcomes newly appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Ukraine Kulbokas
KYIV. Nov 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal welcomed Apostolic Nuncio to Ukraine Archbishop Visvaldas Kulbokas.
"I hope that your appointment will strengthen our cultural cooperation and give more understanding about Ukraine and Ukrainians, about aggression by the Russian Federation and the problems caused by the occupation of Ukrainian territories. It is important for us to show Ukraine and demonstrate that we are open to cooperation in various areas," the governmental press service quoted Shmyhal as saying following the meeting.
The Prime Minister noted that this year he had had a very constructive and warm meeting with His Holiness Pope Francis, with whom he had discussed practical issues.
"The Head of Government expressed confidence that cooperation between Ukraine and the Holy See will further develop," the message reads.
