Ukrainian MFA spokesperson: We'd like Hungarian side to more actively help Ukraine in countering Russian aggression
KYIV. Dec 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleh Nikolenko said the Ukrainian side would like Budapest to more actively help Ukraine in counteracting Russian aggression, because Ukraine is now fighting not only for peace on its territory, but also for peace on the territory Europe.
"Now the relations between Ukraine and Hungary are not easy. Indeed, different statements are made by the Hungarian authorities: those related to financial support, and those related to military support. Surely, we would like the Hungarian side to more actively help Ukraine in countering the aggression of the Russian Federation, because Ukraine is now fighting not only for peace on its own territory, but also for peace on the territory of Europe in a broader context – for peaceful life, including on the territory of Hungary. Therefore, we would like Budapest to remember this," Nikolenko said on the air of the national telethon on Tuesday.
