Ukrainian FM, President of European Parliament coordinate steps to create Special Tribunal in crime of aggression case

KYIV. March 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, in a telephone conversation with President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, coordinated steps to create a Special tribunal in the case of the crime of aggression against Ukraine.

“In my call with European Parliament President, Roberta Metsola, I encouraged the European Parliament to keep up its vital role in tackling impunity. Following the relevant EP’s resolution, we coordinated steps toward creating a Special tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine,” Kuleba said on Twitter.

In her turn, Metsola stressed that the European Parliament is committed to ensuring justice in matters of war crimes and welcomed the arrest warrant from the ICC. She said on Twitter that illegally deported children should return home. And added that she renewed the call for the creation of a special tribunal.
