Ukrainian exports of agro products under Grain Initiative reach 17 mln tonnes – seaports authority
KYIV. Jan 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Five ships have exported 158,500 tonnes of Ukrainian foodstuffs over the past three days as part of the Grain Initiative, and 17 million tonnes have been exported since the beginning of August under the initiative, Ukrainian media reported, citing the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA).
The USPA said specifically that the True Harmony bulk carrier was shipping 26,000 tonnes of agricultural products to Egypt, and that the Leo 1 bulk carrier was shipping 49,500 tonnes of wheat to Sri Lanka.
There are currently 98 vessels waiting for inspection in the Bosporus, with 21 ships already loaded with foodstuffs, and 77 heading for loading. On December 26, 2022, there were 95 vessels, with 22 ships carrying agricultural products, and 73 heading for loading.
