Ukrainian e-health system undergone attack from Russia – Dpty Minister

KYIV. Nov 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ukrainian electronic health system has undergone an information attack from the Russian territory, Deputy Health Minister Maria Karchevych said.

"Following the information campaign against COVID-19 vaccination, we see signs of an information attack by the Russian side on the e-health system. In recent days, frankly false articles have appeared in the information space regarding the reforms of e-sickness and the work of the e-health system in general. All the materials use the already familiar narratives of Russian television that the system cannot withstand and people refuse to receive services," she said at a briefing on Friday.

Karchevych said that such messages are published by a group of pro-Russian publications with the aim of sowing mistrust in public medical services and destabilizing the situation in the health system. At the same time, she noted the stability of the e-system.

According to Karchevych, currently more than 32 million Ukrainians use the e-health system, who have chosen their family doctor. More than 225,000 active users from more than 5,000 medical facilities work in it every day. However, more than 523 million electronic medical records were entered into the e-system.
