Ukrainian delegation to TCG demands urgent measures to end ceasefire violations in Donbas
KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) on resolving the situation in Donbas demands that immediate measures be taken to return to full compliance with the ceasefire, the delegation’s press service said on Wednesday.
"Today, an extraordinary meeting of the security subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas took place, hosted by coordinator, Ambassador Yaşar Halit Çevik, Chief Monitor of the OSCE SMM in Ukraine. The parties discussed numerous gross ceasefire violations, in particular, the shelling of the Avdiyivka area by the enemy and the work of the coordination mechanism for their prevention and in case of violation," the delegation said in the Telegram channel.
The position of the Ukrainian delegation, which is that the security subgroup should be part of the coordination mechanism, and it is with its help that the parties should verify violations of the ceasefire, has found its practical confirmation.
"We demand that the Russian side take immediate measures to end violations of the ceasefire and return to full compliance with it," the delegation said.
