Ukrainian air defense shoots down 80% of fired missiles – Nayev
KYIV. March 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Serhiy Nayev said Ukrainian air defense shoots down 80% of missiles fired by the enemy, and each attack is analyzed to improve air defense.
“Currently, the percentage of missile sales has changed a lot and is equal to 80%. And even more in rare cases. Our air defense specialists have become more professional and competent,” the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.
He said Russian troops have also changed their tactics and ways of using air attack weapons.
“So we do analysis after every strike. This analysis is reported and the commanders, accordingly, make such decisions so that the stability of air defense is at the highest level,” Nayev said.
