Ukraine's Prosecutor General, Pelosi discuss creation of tribunal to punish war criminals, recognition of Russia as state sponsor of terrorism

KYIV. Sept 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin discussed with Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi the creation of an international tribunal to punish war criminals and the recognition of the Russian Federation as a state sponsor of terrorism.

"Russia is committing genocide against Ukrainian people. Discussed the establishment of an international tribunal to punish war criminals, including the Russian leadership, as well as recognizing Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism," Kostin wrote on Twitter.

He also thanked Pelosi and the American people for supporting Ukraine.

"The US and allies’ military and financial assistance help us de-occupy Ukrainian territory. As well as legal aid will help restore justice for victims of Russian war crimes," Kostin wrote.
