Ukraine's 'green' transformation strategy to be presented by late Oct – deputy premier
KYIV. Sept 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers intends to present the strategy of Ukraine’s "green" transformation by the end of October, Olha Stefanishyna, the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, has said.
"By the end of October, the strategy for the "green" transformation of Ukraine will be presented, it is related to decisions regarding the "green" transition to the EU. As part of the strategy, we will additionally report on financial instruments and the amount of resources that Ukrainian entrepreneurs will be able to access," she said.
As reported, Ukraine, in accordance with the updated nationally determined contribution to the Paris Agreement, should reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 65% of the 1990 level by 2030, and achieve climate neutrality by 2060. Such goals were set and approved by the Cabinet of Ministers resolution of July 30, 2021.
