Ukraine's GDP falls by 37.2% in Q2 2022 – statistics
KYIV. Sept 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The real gross domestic product (GDP) of Ukraine in the second quarter of 2022 fell by 37.2% compared to the second quarter of 2021 after falling by 15.1% in the first quarter of this year, the State Statistics Service published such a preliminary estimate on Thursday.
According to the published data, compared to the previous quarter (seasonally adjusted), GDP decreased by 19.1%.
According to the State Statistics Service, in 2021 Ukraine’s GDP grew by 3.4% after a decline of 3.8% in 2020, its nominal volume amounted to about $200 billion.
