Ukraine's Finance Ministry declares victory in $3 bln bond case against Russia: UK Supreme Court sends it to full public trial
KYIV. March 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The UK Supreme Court has ruled that the case of Ukraine’s $3 billion eurobonds issued in 2013 under President Viktor Yanukovych in favor of Russia should be sent to a full open trial.
“In a great victory for justice and the rule of law, the UK Supreme Court has today held that Ukraine’s defence of duress, based on russia’s threats of aggression against Ukraine, should be sent for a full public trial,” the Finance Ministry of Ukraine said in a statement on Wednesday.
