Ukraine's Culture Ministry cancels inclusion of Ukrainian actor Tomusiak in list of persons threatening national security
KYIV. Nov 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, on the proposal of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), has canceled the inclusion of Ukrainian actor Valentyn Tomusiak in the list of persons who pose a threat to national security.
In particular, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, upon recommendation of the SBU, canceled two orders on the inclusion of 54 persons in the list of those who pose a threat to national security. Ukrainian actor Valentyn Tomusiak was among those persons who was erroneously listed.
Thus, at the moment there are 208 people on this list.
As earlier reported, the SBU erroneously indicated Ukrainian actor Tomusiak in this request for inclusion in the list of persons who pose a threat to national security.
Later, the actor himself wrote on his Facebook page that he had nothing to do with the film "Sun Heat", for which he, along with Russian actors, was included in this list.
In this connection, Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko said that the Ministry of Culture agreed with the SBU on cooperation in verifying the lists of cultural figures who pose a threat to national security in order to avoid mistakes.
