Ukraine's accession to NATO completely depends on Alliance – Zaluzhny
KYIV. Sept 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine’s accession to NATO is entirely dependent on the North Atlantic Alliance, although all NATO standards have already been met, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhny has said.
"It is ready. Why not? We have already fully developed the standards by which NATO performs its tasks. But this is not enough. In order for us to become [part of] NATO, a political decision is necessary, in my opinion. We are already ready," said Zaluzhny in an interview with Radio Liberty on Saturday.
He noted that Ukraine has implemented reforms to NATO standards in management, planning, training and implementation.
