Ukraine waiting for China's reaction to Ukrainian Peace Formula – Yermak
DAVOS. Jan 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska has handed over a letter from Ukraine to the official representative of China at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos about the Ukraine Peace Formula proposed by President Volodymyr Zelensky, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak has said.
"We see opportunities [to change China’s attitude to the war], first of all, thanks to the formula of President Zelensky. At least two points, we know, are very important for China. And we hope that China is seriously analyzing our proposals and, perhaps, we will see its participation and, perhaps, leadership in some of these provisions," he said, answering questions at the WEF session on Thursday.
Yermak did not agree with the opinion that China supports Russia in the war. In his opinion, China does not support Ukraine, and Kyiv is working to change this situation.
"We are waiting for a reaction from China," the head of the President’s Office summed up.
