Ukraine, Turkey defense ministers discuss situation with grain export
KYIV. Aug 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Defense Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov and his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar have discussed by phone the current situation with grain export, the press service of the Turkish Defense Ministry has said.
The Turkish minister assured the Ukrainian party that Turkey will continue to make peace efforts and provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
Akar also stressed the necessity to reach an agreement on a ceasefire in Ukraine.
The press service also said that the parties expressed satisfaction with the grain shipment developments and the work that is being carried out by the Joint Coordination Center on the grain corridor.
