Ukraine thanks Turkey for solidarity towards detained Crimean Tatars – Embassy
KYIV. Sept 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ukrainian Embassy in the Republic of Turkey condemns the mass detentions of Crimean Tatars in the occupied Crimea and expresses gratitude to Turkey for its solidarity with Ukraine, the press service of the Ukrainian Embassy in Turkey said.
"Violent violations of human rights in Crimea are unacceptable. We condemn these actions of the invaders against the citizens of Ukraine and we thank our friend Turkey for its solidarity," the message says.
According to the text of the Turkish communique published on Twitter, Turkey is watching the development of events in Crimea and also wishes the four detained Crimean Tatars "to return to their homes and families as soon as possible."
