Ukraine sends 51,000 tonnes of corn to Tunisia, Libya
KYIV. Dec 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Over the past two days, the ports of Big Odesa have shipped 182,000 tonnes of foodstuffs onboard seven vessels for Africa, Asia and Europe, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reported on Monday.
"In particular, Bosphorus Asia (30,500 tonnes) and Princess Manissa (20,500 tonnes) with 51,000 tonnes of corn for Tunisia and Libya," the ministry said.
The Ministry of Infrastructure said that 24 vessels are being processed in the ports involved in the grain initiative, which are loaded with 973,00 tonnes of Ukrainian foodstuffs.
In addition, five ships are moving along the grain corridor to load 104,400 tonnes of foodstuffs.
In total, since August 1, 565 ships have left the ports of Big Odesa, which exported 14.2 million tonnes of Ukrainian food to the countries of Asia, Europe and Africa, the Ministry of Infrastructure said.
