Ukraine requests meeting of UNSC on Russia’s pseudo-referendums in occupied territories – MFA
KYIV. Sept 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine initiates an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council on the so-called "referendums" of the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleh Nikolenko said.
“Ukraine has requested an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council on Russia’s sham referendums in the occupied territories of Ukraine. Russia must be held accountable for its further attempts to change Ukraine’s internationally recognized borders in a violation of the UN Charter,” Nikolenko said on Twitter.
