Ukraine registers 10,680 transactions of purchase-sale of agricultural land concluded after start of market in July – ministry
KYIV. Aug 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Since the launch of the land market on July 1 and as of August 29 in Ukraine, some 10,680 land transactions have been concluded on agricultural plots with a total area of 23,330 hectares, the leaders in the number of agreements are Poltava and Kharkiv regions, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food said on Facebook on Monday.
In terms of the total area of land plots sold, Poltava region is in the lead with 2,720 hectares, followed by Kharkiv (2,620 hectares), Kirovograd (2,070 hectares), Dnipropetrovsk (1,870 hectares) and Kherson (1,720 hectares) regions.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy said that during the specified period, some 5,390 applications were received from notaries for access to the State Land Cadastre Center in order to online check the legality of the land plots procurement. Among them, some 4,770 applications were approved, one application is pending for consideration, some 620 applications are denied access. In total, there are over 6,000 notaries in the country.
