Ukraine reduces import of aluminum ores by 82% in 2022
KYIV. Jan 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine in 2022 reduced the import of aluminum ores and concentrate (bauxite) in quantity terms by 81.5% compared to the previous year, to 945,396 tonnes, in November-December, the products were not imported.
According to statistics released by the State Customs Service, during this period, imports of bauxite in monetary terms decreased by 79.6% to $48.166 million.
At the same time, the products were mainly imported from Guinea (58.90% of supplies in monetary terms), Brazil (27.19%) and Ghana (7.48%).
Ukraine did not re-export bauxite in 2022.
