Ukraine raises exports of coke by 5 times, imports by 80% in Jan-Oct
KYIV. Nov 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine in January-October of this year increased export of coke and semi-coke in quantity terms by 5 times compared to the same period last year, to 193,825 tonnes.
According to statistics released by the State Customs Service, in monetary terms, export of coke and semi-coke increased 9 times over this period, to $41.662 million.
At the same time, the products were mainly exported to Kazakhstan (29.16% of supplies in monetary terms), Turkey (20.14%) and Algeria (15.84%).
Over ten months, Ukraine imported 586,555 tonnes of coke and semi-coke, which is 80.1% more compared to January-October 2020. In monetary terms, imports increased 3.4 times, to $235.767 million.
The products were mainly imported from the Russian Federation (63.15% of supplies in monetary terms), the Czech Republic (20.63%) and Poland (10.96%).
