Ukraine plans to complete work on second part of EU membership questionnaire late next week – Stefanishyna
KYIV. May 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine plans to complete the work on the second part of the European Union membership questionnaire by the end of next week, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna has said.
"The part of the documents that we submitted has already been worked out by the European Union, there are no additional questions to the submitted materials. The work was highly appreciated, especially considering that this is the part that concerns political criteria, democratic institutions, human rights," Stefanishyna said during the national telethon on Saturday evening.
She said that Ukraine implemented the reforms that are described there together with European partners.
"Therefore, we have already closed this part of our work and are preparing to complete all work on transferring the book of our statehood to the European Union by the end of next week," the Deputy Prime Minister added.
As reported, on April 18, Ukraine completed the first part of the EU membership questionnaire and submitted it to the European Commission for consideration.
