Ukraine pays over $1.3 bln on eurobonds on Wednesday

KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On Wednesday, the Finance Ministry of Ukraine redeemed the third series of eurobonds, issued during the restructuring in 2015, and made a coupon payment on it and the securities remaining in circulation, in total transferring more than $1.3 billion to eurobond holders.

The Finance Ministry said on its website, in particular, $974.15 million was directed towards redemption of eurobonds-2021 and $334.64 million as interest payments on eurobonds maturing in 2021 to 2027.

The Finance Ministry said that by the end of 2021 it will be necessary to pay about $3.6 billion on the national debt in foreign currency.
