Ukraine introduces special labeling of household electrical appliances in line with EU legislation
KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine is introducing a system of energy labeling and eco-design of household electrical appliances in fulfillment of commitments undertaken by Ukraine within the agreement with the EU, as well as the treaty establishing the Energy Community.
The relevant resolution was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers at a meeting on Wednesday.
The amendments relate to the energy labeling and eco-design of refrigerators, household dishwashers, washing machines and tumble dryers, televisions, air conditioners, light bulbs and lighting fixtures.
The resolution, which comes into force six months from the date of publication, amended the technical regulations for the energy labeling of the above household electrical appliances.
