Ukraine insists on introduction of sanctions against Rosatom, restriction of Russia's rights in IAEA – Shmyhal
KYIV. Jan 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine insists on the need to timely impose sanctions on the Rosatom corporation and limit Russia’s rights and privileges in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has said.
"I asked the director general to convey to the IAEA members with whom he will conduct a dialogue that Ukraine is confident in the need to timely impose sanctions on Rosatom, limit Russia’s rights and privileges in the IAEA and stop cooperation with Russia in this area," he said at a joint press conference with IAEA Head Rafael Grossi in Kyiv on Wednesday.
The prime minister also called on the IAEA members and other international partners to support such a position of Ukraine.
