Ukraine increases cast iron exports by 2.7%, USA accounts for 55% of supplies in Jan-Oct
KYIV. Nov 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine in January-October this year increased exports of cast iron in quantity terms by 2.7% compared to the same period last year, to 2.644 million tonnes.
According to statistics released by the State Customs Service on Wednesday, during the specified period, exports of cast iron in monetary terms increased by 83.9%, to $1.367 billion.
At the same time, the products were mainly exported to the United States (54.75% of supplies in monetary terms), Italy (21%) and Turkey (9.84%).
In January-October 2021, Ukraine imported 171 tonnes of cast iron for $200,000 from Germany (71%), the Russian Federation (23%) and Slovakia (6%), while in January-October 2020 it imported 429 tonnes for $317,000.
