Ukraine exports over 4 mln tonnes of foodstuffs under grain initiative
KYIV. Sept 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Another eight ships with 195,700 tonnes of agricultural products left the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk on Tuesday for the countries of Africa, Asia and Europe, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine has reported.
"The bulk carriers PGE Rain, SSI Pride, Rider, Tina S left the berths of the port of Odesa, and the ships Aphrodite M, Nymphi, Pauline, Noran left the port of Chornomorsk," the ministry said on Facebook.
In total, since the release of the first ship with Ukrainian food, 4.1 million tonnes of foodstuffs have already been exported, and the total number of ships for Asia, Europe and Africa has reached 177.
