Ukraine exports over 14 mln tonnes of grain crops since early 2022/23 – Ministry of Agrarian Policy
KYIV. Nov 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – From the beginning of the 2022/2023 marketing year (July-June) and as of November 7, Ukraine exported 14.27 million tonnes of grain crops, of which 7.66 million tonnes of corn (53.8% of total supplies), 5.39 million tonnes of wheat (37.8%) and 1.17 million tonnes of barley (8.1%).
As reported on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food on Monday, the rate of grain exports since the beginning of the current year is 30.7% lower than the same period of the last year (from July 1 to November 7, 2021, 20.61 million tonnes were delivered abroad).
According to the ministry, from the beginning of 2022/2023 and as of November 7, 2022, Ukraine exported 5.39 million tonnes of wheat (2.39 times less compared to the same period a year earlier), 1.17 million tonnes of barley (3.85 times less), 6,300 tonnes of rye (11 times less) and 38,400 tonnes of flour (12.1% less). At the same time, the pace of corn exports exceeded last year’s volumes – 7.66 million tonnes were exported, which is 2.61 times higher than in 2021/2022 on the same date.
In general, since the beginning of November, 1.07 million tonnes of grain crops have been exported from Ukraine, including 388,000 tonnes of wheat, 606,000 tonnes of corn, 67,000 tonnes of barley and 2,900 tonnes of flour.
As follows from the data of the ministry, for the period from November 2 to November 7, an average of 178,000 tonnes of grain per day was supplied to foreign markets, while for the previous period from October 26 to November 2 – 170,000 tonnes per day, from October 21 to October 26 – 132,000 tonnes per day, from October 1 to October 21 – 141,500 tonnes per day, and from September 26 to September 30 – a record 267,500 tonnes per day since the beginning of the war. Thus, the average daily export rates for the reporting period from November 2 to November 7 grew by 4.7% compared to the previous period from October 26 to November 2.
