Ukraine exports 32.2 mln tonnes of agricultural products since start of war – Agrarian Ministry

KYIV. Dec 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Ukraine has supplied 32.2 million tonnes of grains, legumes, oilseeds to foreign markets, according to the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

At the same time, in November 2022, some 5.9 million tonnes of agricultural products were sent from the country, which is 1 million tonnes less than in October and September. In terms of crops, 1.6 million tonnes of wheat were shipped from Ukraine per month (20% less than in October) and 2 million tonnes of corn (13% less).

In turn, the export of sunflower oil in November increased compared to the previous month by 8%, up to 466,000 tonnes, sunflower seeds – by 27%, to 377,000 tonnes, soybeans – by 67%, to 385,000 tonnes, while the supply of rapeseed almost halved, to 412,000 tonnes, meals of all kinds – by 25%, to 344,000 tonnes, soybean oil – by 36%, to 16,000 tonnes.

According to the ministry, 34.3% of foreign deliveries of agricultural products in November were corn, 7.9% – sunflower oil, 7% – rapeseed, 6.5% – soybeans, 6.4% – sunflower seeds, 5.8% – meal, 5% – barley, 0.3% – soybean oil.

In addition, during the nine months of the war, Ukraine exported 12.3 million tonnes of corn (38.2% of the total), 7 million tonnes of wheat (21.8%); 2.8 million tonnes of rapeseed (8.6%), 2.8 million tonnes of sunflower oil (8.6%), 2.4 million tonnes of sunflower seeds (7.4%), 1.9 million tonnes of meal (5.8%), 1.5 million tonnes of barley (4.7%), 1.3 million tonnes of soybeans (4.2%), and 168,000 tonnes of soybean oil (0.5%).
