Ukraine exports 26.2 mln tonnes of agricultural products since start of war – Agrarian Ministry
KYIV. Nov 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – During the eight months of the Russian full-scale invasion (March-October 2022), Ukraine supplied to foreign markets 26.2 million tonnes of grain, legumes, oilseeds, including 10.2 million tonnes of corn and 5.4 million tonnes of wheat.
According to the website of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine, in October the total volume of shipments of agricultural products by all routes amounted to 6.9 million tonnes, including about 2 million tonnes of wheat (corresponding to the previous month) and 2.3 million tonnes of corn.
In turn, the export of rapeseed in October decreased by 13% compared to September, to 778,000 tonnes, sunflower oil – to 433,000 tonnes (24% down), while the supply of barley remained almost unchanged – 383,000 tonnes (3% up), the volume of meals of all types exported abroad increased to 457,000 tonnes (14% up), and sunflower seeds – to 290,000 tonnes (45% up).
The indicators of soybean oil deliveries remained unchanged: in October, as in September, more than 25,000 tonnes of this product crossed the Ukrainian border. However, in October the export of soybeans decreased by 10,000 tonnes: 230,000 tonnes against 240,000 tonnes in September.
"The overall picture of shipments for October in percentage terms is as follows: 33.6% falls on corn, 28.71% – wheat, rapeseed – 11.28%, sunflower seeds – 4.21%, sunflower oil – 6.28%, meal – 6.63%, barley – 5.56%, soybeans – 3.34%, soybean oil – 0.38%," the ministry said.
