Ukraine exports 2.21 mln tonnes of grain since start of 2022/2023 MY – Agrarian Ministry
KYIV. Aug 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Since the beginning of the 2022/2023 marketing year (MY, July-June), Ukraine has exported 2.21 million tonnes of grain, including 1.45 million tonnes of corn (65% of the total supply), 562,000 tonnes of wheat (25.4%), and 192,000 tonnes of barley (8.6%).
According to the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, since the beginning of the current marketing year, the rate of grain exports was 2.08 times lower than in the same period last year (4.61 million tonnes were exported from July 1 to August 11, 2021).
At the same time, according to the agency, for the period of August 5-11, some 340,000 tonnes of grain crops were supplied to foreign markets (48,600 tonnes daily), while for the previous period (July 27-August 5) some 640,000 tonnes of grain crops (71,100 tonnes daily), for July 15-27 – some 627,000 tonnes of grain crops (52,250 tonnes daily), and for July 8-15 – some 280,000 tonnes (40,000 tonnes per day). Thus, the average daily export rate for the reporting period decreased by 32% compared to the previous period.
