Ukraine expects to end political talks on conclusion of industrial visa-free travel in 2022 – Dpty PM Stefanishyna

KYIV. Oct 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine expects to complete political negotiations on the conclusion of the agreement on conformity assessment and acceptance of industrial products (ACCA) with the European Union, the so-called "industrial visa-free," in 2022, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna has said.

"Unfortunately, I cannot confirm that we will sign an agreement this year. But we will definitely complete all the technical procedures," she said at a press briefing on the discussion titled "Trade Wars: the Art of Defense" organized by the Ilyashev & Partners law firm on Tuesday.

"We see that the EU is more optimistic than before. Therefore, we hope that within the next year it will be possible to conduct all political negotiations so that the agreement is signed," Stefanishyna said, answering a question from Interfax-Ukraine.

Deputy Economy Minister, Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka said in June that he expects the conclusion of the ACAA agreement with the EU by the end of 2021.
