Ukraine expects at least one lockdown – Internet Invest Group President

KYIV. Sept 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine will face at least one lockdown associated with coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Deputy Head of the executive committee of reforms, President of the Internet Invest Group holding Oleksandr Olshansky said.

"We have at least one major lockdown ahead," he said during the seventh Ukrainian Financial Forum, organized by ICU on Friday.

However, even with such a forecast, expectations of 4% GDP growth in 2021 are "a very pessimistic forecast," Olshansky said. Given the growth in capital investment, he expects a 5% or 6% GDP growth by the end of 2021.
