Ukraine cuts imports of petroleum products by 12.6% in Jan-Sept
KYIV. Oct 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In January-September 2022, Ukraine imported 5.235 million tonnes of petroleum products (under economic activity code 2710: gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, jet fuel, etc.), which is 12.6% less than in the same period last year (5.987 million tonnes).
According to the State Customs Service, petroleum products were imported in the amount of $6.139 billion, which is 72.1% more than in January-September 2021 ($3.567 billion).
Belarus supplied fuel for $793.511 million (share – 12.93%), India – for $688.353 million (11.21%), Russia – for $590.393 million (9.62%), other countries – for $4.067 billion (66.24%).Over nine months of 2021, the total cost share of fuel from Belarus and Russia in imports was 64.13%.
In addition, Ukraine exported 55,359 tonnes (less by 79% compared to January-September 2021) of petroleum products for a total of $64.544 million (less by 56.5%) in nine months. The cost of fuel delivered to counterparties from Lithuania amounted to $16.404 million, Turkey – $11.533 million, Estonia – $6.022 million, and other countries – $30.586 million.
