Ukraine cuts imports of manganese ores by one third in Jan-July
KYIV. Aug 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine in January-July this year reduced the import of manganese ore and concentrate in kind by 34.8% compared to the same period last year, to 135,021 tonnes.
According to statistics released by the State Customs Service, in monetary terms, imports of manganese ore and concentrate for the specified period fell by 28.5%, to $17.963 million.
In July, no manganese ore was imported.
At the same time, in the first seven months of 2022, imports were from Ghana (99.9% of supplies in monetary terms) and Belgium (0.1%).
In January-July 2022, Ukraine did not supply manganese ore and concentrate for export.
