Ukraine cuts import of manganese ores by 68% in 2022
KYIV. Jan 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In 2022, Ukraine reduced the import of manganese ore and concentrate in kind by 68.1% compared to the previous year, to 135,798 tonnes.
According to statistics published by the State Customs Service (STS), in monetary terms, the import of manganese ore and concentrate for the specified period dropped by 66.4%, to $18.098 million.
At the same time, major imports were from Ghana (99.16% of supplies in monetary terms), Slovakia (0.71%) and Belgium (0.10%).
In August-November, almost no manganese ore was imported.
In 2022, Ukraine did not export manganese ore and concentrate.
