Ukraine cuts coke exports by 98%, increases imports by 18% in Jan-July
KYIV. Aug 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine in January-July this year reduced the export of coke and semi-coke in quantity terms by 97.6% compared to the same period last year, to 3,697 tonnes.
According to statistics published by the State Customs Service, in monetary terms, the export of coke and semi-coke over this period decreased by 97.3%, to $987,000.
At the same time, the main exports were to Hungary (43.62% in monetary terms), Georgia (38.56%) and Turkey (17.81%).
Ukraine, in January-July 2022, imported 314,813 tonnes of coke and semi-coke, which is 18% more compared to January-July 2021. In monetary terms, imports increased by 74.8%, to $154.518 million. Imports were carried out mainly from the Russian Federation (49.04% of deliveries in monetary terms), Poland (27.07%) and the Czech Republic (14.06%).
