Ukraine, Croatia sign five joint documents – Ukrainian PM

KYIV. Dec 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Following the visit to Kyiv of the Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković, five joint documents were signed, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has said.

"The government of Ukraine is committed to developing a mutually beneficial partnership with Croatia and will make every effort to further remove barriers in our bilateral relations," the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers quoted the head of the Ukrainian government as saying.

So, during the second meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Croatian Commission on Economic Cooperation, the following agreements were signed:

– Cooperation agreement between the State Archival Service of Ukraine and the Croatian State Archives. This will ensure equal access rights for Ukrainian and Croatian researchers to archival documents;

– Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of Croatia on cooperation in the field of railway transport. The agreement will provide conditions for unimpeded railway transportation of passengers, transportation of goods and mail between states;

– Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of metrology between the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the State Office for Metrology of the Republic of Croatia;

– The action plan of the working group between Ukraine and Croatia for 2022/2023, which, in particular, provides for the exchange of experience with Croatia on the issue of reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories, rehabilitation of veterans and internally displaced persons, mine action and strengthening national security.

As reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Plenković signed the joint Declaration on the European perspective of Ukraine.
