Ukraine at Dubai Airshow will be represented by Antonov, Motor Sich, Hydrogen Dynamics Technology

KYIV. Nov 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine at the international aerospace exhibition Dubai Airshow 2020 (the United Arab Emirates) will be represented by the state-owned enterprise Antonov, PJSC Motor Sich and the newly created company for the development of technologies based on renewable energy, Hydrogen Dynamics Technology.

"We also see an increase in presence from seven countries … these are Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Italy, Belarus, Ireland and the United Kingdom," Managing Director of Tarsus F&E, the organizer of the international exhibition Dubai Airshow 2021, Tim Hawes, said during a press conference for the opening of the exhibition in Dubai.

He specified that this year the Czech Republic, Belgium, Brazil, Israel and Slovakia will present their pavilions for the first time as part of the Dubai Airshow.

According to the organizers, Antonov, Motor Sich and Hydrogen Dynamics Technology will be represented at the exhibition in Dubai from Ukraine this year.

"We are participating for the first time. We are flying with an electric power plant for light-engine aircraft. Our developments are completely safe storage of hydrogen on board aircraft and a hydrogen fuel cell with a capacity of up to 100 kW," Director of Hydrogen Dynamics Technology Petro Palianytsia said in a comment to Interfax-Ukraine.

Hydrogen Dynamics Technology was established in 2021 and has production facilities in Europe.

"Only assembly will be carried out in Ukraine. In the future, we plan to equip our production facilities and produce everything in Ukraine. At the moment we are cooperating with the Ukrainian aircraft manufacturer ANG Patriot and we plan to use their production facilities for assembling fuel cells," he said, specifying that an agreement has already been concluded with the said company on the joint creation of the first electric aircraft on the territory of Ukraine.

Dubai Airshow has been held in the UAE since 1989 in November every two years, with the support of the government and the Armed Forces. It is the largest in the Middle East region and the most dynamically developing international aerospace show in the world. Among the profiles of the exhibition are civil and military aviation, electronic traffic control and management systems, space technologies and satellite communications, and defense systems.
