Ukraine and Moldova sign agreement on cooperation in higher education
KYIV. Dec 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Moldova signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of higher education.
"The signing of the agreement will contribute to strengthening and expanding bilateral partnership in the field of higher education on the basis of equality and mutual benefit," the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science said.
It is noted that the agreement will also create legal grounds for the provision of scholarships to encourage and facilitate academic mobility, exchange of students, graduate students, teachers between educational institutions of Ukraine and Moldova.
In particular, the scholarships provided by the agreement for students and internship opportunities for research and teaching staff will contribute not only to the exchange of knowledge and experience, but also to cultural and language exchange, which should strengthen the relationship between the Ukrainian and Moldovan peoples.
"The provisions of the agreement stipulate that the parties will encourage cooperation in the field of higher education by developing joint projects within the framework of programs of the European Union, the Council of Europe, the United Nations, UNESCO and other international organizations and programs," the message reads.
