UK to send Brimstone anti-ship missiles to Ukraine in coming weeks – Johnson
KYIV. May 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The UK intends to provide Ukraine with Brimstone anti-ship missiles and armored vehicles over the coming weeks to evacuate civilians from temporarily occupied territories, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said.
"In the coming weeks, we in the UK will send you Brimstone anti-ship missiles and Stormer anti-aircraft systems. We are providing armored vehicles to evacuate civilians from areas under attack and protect officials – what Volodymyr mentioned to me in our most recent call – while they maintain critical infrastructure," he said in an address to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Tuesday.
Johnson also said Britain is strengthening and accelerating assistance to Ukraine, "working with dozens of countries." "we are dispatching thousands of weapons of many kinds, including tanks now and armoured vehicles," he said.
